STUDY DAYS

Since 2022, the 'Women, Life, Freedom' movement has been shedding new light on the everyday patterns of Islamic Republic' repressive government. This scientific event intends to question the regime's repressive politics in relation with international dynamics of sanctions imposed on the Iranian state and society. How do the economic violence of the international community and the political violence of the regime feed into each other? In what forms does this multiscalar violence manifest itself in the ordinary life of citizens? What impact does it have on economic practices, on the spatial organization of society, and on social relations? How, ultimately, are teaching and research practices negotiated in the face of these constraints inside and outside Iran?
