Series summary:

The "Medicine on a global scale" series of interviews brings together researchers from a variety of backgrounds to highlight current work on the global history of medicine and health, from the 15th century to the present day. By combining different points of view, it opens a window onto the questions, perspectives and debates that are currently driving this dynamic field of research, which is itself globalised. In order to provide access to as wide a readership as possible, all interviews are published in French and English.

Jaehwan Hyun is Associate Professor at Pusan National University in South Korea. His research focuses on the history of human genetics and the sciences relating to the notion of 'race' in South Korea in the 20th century.e His current research focuses on the history of science and environmental conservation policies, as well as trans-Asian scientific diplomacy during the Cold War.
