Dear candidates for the CNRS 2023 research competitions for sections 33, 36, 39 and 40, The Centre méditerranéen de sociologie, de science politique et d'histoire d'Aix-en-Provence (Mesopolhis, UMR 7064, AMU, CNRS, Science Po Aix) is a multi-disciplinary social science unit focusing on 6 areas of research (https://mesopolhis.fr/axes-de-recherche/:

  • Socialisation, education and culture (Coordinator: Ariane Richard-Bossez)
  • Migrations, mobilities, circulations (Leader: Marc Bernardot)
  • Beliefs and politics (Coordinator: Dilek Yankaya)
  • Socio-spatial dynamics and political mobilisation (Jean Lagane)
  • Contemporary violence, crisis and conflict (Coordinator: Nicolas Badalassi)
  • Norms, deviance and governing knowledge (Leaders: Audrey Freyermuth and Océane Perona)

It invites candidates wishing to apply for its support for the 2024 CNRS researcher competition in sections 33, 36, 39 and 40 to send their project to before 30 November 2023 to the following address  stephanie.meiranesio@univ-amu.fr

The application must be sent in a single PDF document and must include the following documents:    

- CV

- CNRS research project as it stands

- Number of section(s) concerned

- Motivation letter justifying the request for Mesopolhis support in relation to the laboratory's research areas.

At the end of the application review phase, members of the laboratory will provide support and personalised guidance to the applicants selected between mid-December and the application deadline.
