For her, the morgue is an accurate reflection of society, particularly that of her home country where deaths caused by drug-related crime, poverty, political crisis and inept government response have devastated communities. Teresa Margolles has developed a unique and discreet language to speak on behalf of these silenced subjects, whose victims are seen as 'collateral damage' of the conflict."
