The history of war in the modern era: the experiences of combatants, military identities, sexual and gendered violence in war, the administration of military death, etc.
History of imperial and colonial power: Empires in world conflicts, colonised soldiers, articulation of military and colonial hierarchies, circulation and transfer of practices of war violence between European and imperial spaces.
History of politics: resistance and military collaboration, political-military relations, the Liberation and the restoration of the State.
Doctoral supervision
Co-direction (with Nicolas Badalassi) of Pierre-Olivier Eglemme's thesis entitled "Les forces françaises à Berlin, de forces d'occupation à outil diplomatique au temps de la Guerre froide. 1945-1955".
