Functions
C. De Gourcy is a senior lecturer (HDR) at Aix-Marseille University and, since 2018, a member of theConvergences Migrations Institute. She is interested in migration issues in the Euro-Mediterranean area. After working for a long time on skilled migration in the France-Algeria migratory field and on landscape territorialities, she is now focusing on situations of absence produced in a migratory context. Her research focuses on the different attachment techniques used by geographically separated families. As well as disseminating the results of her research (books and articles), she is developing innovative ways of presenting the moral, political and sociological issues raised by these situations of absence.
