Sophie Daviaud is a senior lecturer in political science at Sciences Po Aix, specialising in Latin America, with a particular focus on Colombia and transitional justice issues.

Academic work
After completing a thesis on the politicisation of human rights defence during the Colombian conflict, her research focuses on the various transitional justice mechanisms created in Latin America. She has undertaken a comparative study of trials for crimes against humanity in various Latin American countries (Argentina, Colombia, Peru) and is currently working on the 'narratives' that emanate from the Special Jurisdiction of Peace created in Colombia in 2016 as part of the peace agreements between the government and FARC.
