Academic work

My research work is mainly in the field of the sociology of old age and ageing, which I explore using a comprehensive approach that focuses on experiences. My research focuses on a number of issues: the transition to retirement and the process of returning to training or employment, the relationship with housing, Alzheimer's disease, the use of digital technology and learning. In 2023, I co-edited, with Vincent Caradec, the book Sociology and Alzheimer's disease, published by Presses universitaires du Septentrion. With a more general interest in the ages of life, I also co-edited the book Living through the ages. From adolescence to old age, published by L'Harmattan in 2012, and in 2023 I joined the APaSuN (Âges et Parcours au Sud et au Nord) research network. Attached to Axis 1 of the Mesopolhis laboratory, I am focusing and extending my work on the dynamics of training and knowledge at the heart of ageing experiences.
