Théo BOREL is an ATER in contemporary history at the Institut d'Études Politiques d'Aix-en-Provence and a doctoral student at Aix-Marseille University (UMR Mesopolhis and UMR Iremam). As part of his thesis, he is looking at French-speaking migration to Mandate Palestine and then to Israel, including military experience, between 1944 and 1982. At the crossroads of the history and anthropology of migration, this thesis aims to produce a multi-situated history of the dynamics of Francophone migration across the Mediterranean.
