The aim of this workshop is to provide a forum for colleagues interested in the dialogue between the sociology of public action and the sociology of socialisation to discuss the following questions: How does public action contribute to the socialisation of those for whom it is intended? What analytical contributions can the joint study of the methods, times and effects of socialisation (Lahire 2013, p. 117) make to understanding the effects of public action?
