2024 edition of "Thirteen minutes for young researchers

"Following an original idea from Université Paris-Diderot, the Treize minutes event has been held in Marseille every year since 2013. The principle is simple: six speakers from different backgrounds each give a thirteen-minute presentation. With this in mind, Aix Marseille Université's young researchers edition gives six AMU doctoral students the opportunity to present their work to a large non-specialist audience. This exercise enables young researchers to strengthen their skills in promoting and popularising research during their doctoral studies.

Research, for whom? Why?

A wide audience regularly asks the question: "What's the point of research? That's why the Treize minutes Jeunes Chercheur.euse.s organising committee has chosen "Scientific research, for whom? why? The aim of the short presentations is to present a research topic and its direct implications for the daily lives of everyone.

From 3.30pm, we look forward to welcoming you to the Faculté de Médecine La Timone in Marseille. You'll be able to wander around the stands run by young researchers, find out about their backgrounds and projects, and maybe even find some inspiration for your own studies! This afternoon is particularly aimed at young people - high school and university students - but it's also open to anyone interested in finding out more about careers in research.

Multidisciplinary conference evening

The evening is open to all, starting at 6pm in the Toga amphitheatre. Six captivating and accessible presentations will show you how scientific research has a direct impact on our lives.
