Organised by three doctoral students and a young doctor in history from the MESOPOLHIS laboratory, this seminar aims to programme a monthly event for researchers, post-doctoral fellows, doctoral students and masters students in the humanities and social sciences whose research focuses on Experiences of violence in the context of contemporary conflicts (19th-20th centuries).

- Jules Cosquerica doctoral student at Sciences Po's École de Droit: "Violences guerrières et génocidaires en procès: usages et qualifications juridiques d'un contexte historique. The case of the Rwamucyo trial before the Paris Assize Court".
Discussion: Sophie DaviaudA senior lecturer in political science at Sciences Po Aix (MESOPOLHIS), specialising in Latin America, with a particular focus on Colombia and transitional justice issues.

The "Experiences of Violence in Contemporary Conflicts" seminar in a nutshell:
Following on from the studies carried out as part of the international research group " War Losses and Casualties "This monthly meeting is organised by the MESOPOLHIS "Violence, Crisis and Contemporary Conflicts" Unit and the MESOPOLHIS Unit 5 team, with the aim of bringing together the different approaches of young researchers dealing with the phenomena of violence(s), in order to gain a better understanding of the multiple experiences caused by confrontation with war phenomena.
