Round table on «The making of the thesis: what is the current state of research training in the social sciences and humanities?» :
Speakers: Maena Berger (EHESS), Sixtine Deroure (Paris 1), François Dumasy (Mesopolhis), Necati Gümüs (Mesopolhis), Simon Mangon (Mesopolhis), Alix Philippon (Mesopolhis).
This round-table discussion looks at the issue of research training in the social sciences and humanities, based on the presentation of the book La fabrique de la thèse. A collective guide to a personal exercise (Mangon, Garapon, Jeanmougin, Judell, 2024) in which several young researchers from the laboratory took part. The aim of the MESOPOLHIS autumn session is to initiate a discussion between tenured researchers, young PhDs and doctoral students on the doctoral practice and its supervision, with a view to a broader exchange on the contemporary challenges of research training and the best ways to support young researchers at the start of their careers.
