The study days organised by the APaSuN network, with the support of MESOPOLHIS, ANR-MRSEI, CFEE and LASA, will be held on 17 and 18 October 2024 at the Maison Méditerranéenne des Sciences de l'Homme.
The aim of this conference is to shed new light on representations of ageing across the ages and territories, between North and South, by focusing on the following areas of analysis ways of making ageing (in)visible. Their analysis provides information on the social, political, family and cultural treatment of ageing and its repercussions on all ages.
From care to support for ageing in the private or public sphere, from denial of age to awareness of it and the resulting practices to tame it, put it at a distance or even erase it, the papers brought together in this conference - based on a wide range of data - will provide an opportunity to to consider the scope of social, political and individual variations in representations of ageing in the North and South.
Registration is free but compulsory, and must be completed by on the conference websitefor both face-to-face and distance learning.
