Ariane Papillon's work, carried out as part of a dissertation in film and television studies, is an excellent example of this.
at ESTCA, Université Paris 8, under the direction of Dork Zabunyan, stages a digital and filmed correspondence between four French and Tunisian teenagers. The film, in vertical format, is made up entirely of shots filmed on mobile phones by the four girls, recordings of their screens and voice messages. The film combines slices of everyday life with conversations about feminism, sexuality, commitment and social networks.
The film shows political subjectivation at work, both because it recounts the passage to adulthood and because it suggests that the use of the camera and social and digital networks are the preferred tools for this subjectivation.
