Presentation:

Much of Pierre Vergès' work has focused on the social representations of the economy. More specifically, he has sought to measure the localised, singular and qualitative nature of social phenomena. A specialist in research into social representations, particularly of economic trends and regional developments, Pierre Vergès has created mathematical and computerised methodologies for processing social data, representation questionnaires, similarity analysis and natural logic. The texts gathered here bear witness to the richness of his scientific career and the originality of the approaches he has implemented.
