Summary

Since the early 2020s, 'wokism' has become a theme of intellectual intervention in France in spaces associated with the right and conservative positions. A study of 'anti-wokist' forums as forms of intervention shows both a relative heterogeneity of positions and argumentative registers, between academic, activist and essayist types of contributors, but also common characteristics in the targets, as well as circulations of motifs between liberal and conservative periodicals. These aspects suggest that critiques of 'wokism' should be analysed alongside other forms of elite collective action.
