Wild rodeos are not a new phenomenon. A specialist in delinquency, the sociologist Laurent Mucchiellidirector of research at the CNRS's Laboratoire méditerranéen de sociologie (University of Aix-Marseille) and author of France as it is, putting an end to nationalist complaints (Fayard, March 2020), explains that a more "preventive" approach to rodeos is possible, and that solutions have been found in the past.
