The Institut Pasteur invites you to take part in an exceptional international symposium, organised to mark the 60th anniversary of the Nobel Prizes awarded to François Jacob (1920-2013), Jacques Monod (1910-1976) and André Lwoff (1902-1994).
This symposium will not only be a celebration of history, but also a manifesto of the ongoing commitment of researchers to the common good, with a rich programme bringing together renowned scientists in the life sciences and experts in the humanities and social sciences.

10h15- Session 1 – Jacob, Lwoff and Monod's exit from the war
Introduction to the 1st session: Nicolas Chevassus-au-louis
Keynote speaker: Maxime Schwartz, Honorary Director General of the Institut Pasteur

- Claire Miot, a lecturer at the IEP in Aix-en-Provence, specialising in the 1st French Army at the Liberation and Jacques Monod.
- Géraud Letang, François Jacob, lecturer and researcher at the École de Guerre, specialist in the Free French Forces in Chad and François Jacob,
- Raphaële Balu, André Lwoff, researcher at the Service Historique de la Défense, specialising in the French Resistance.
