Meeting with Pauline Cherbonniera doctoral student in history at Sciences Po Aix.

Pauline Cherbonnier is a contract doctoral student in history at Sciences Po Aix. Her doctoral thesis is entitled "Diplomatie et outil militaire. French legacies and transfers to Cameroon and Togo (1945-1970s)" (in progress). Also interested in the world of cinema, she set up Catalonia's first gypsy film festival, 'Amaro Dhikipen', in 2017 (FAGiC & Zumzeig Ciné); she helped organise screenings of films from the Diplomatic Archives at the Rendez vous de l'histoire de Blois 2020; and since 2021, she has been running a neighbourhood film club within the Pas Si Loin association (in Pantin, 93) on issues of violence against women.

About the director

Trained as an aeronautical engineer, Mohamed Kordofanileft everything behind to set up his own production studio. At the same time, the director worked on his first feature film, Goodbye Julia, which was presented at Un Certain Regard,
brings Sudan into the Official Selection for the first time.
This drama about guilt questions the relationship between the Sudanese of the north and the south.
