Fourteen portraits of ordinary voters confronted with politics, the 2017 elections and their candidates. Interviewed on a number of occasions up to 2021, they reveal their views on politics, their perception of what is at stake in the election and, beyond that, a vivid picture of contemporary French society, the objective (mis)chances of each individual and the social imaginaries that structure it.&nbsp;<br>Through these portraits, the logic of electoral choices is revealed. The fruit of social roots and long-standing loyalties, it articulates multiple rationales. Far from the simplifications of opinion polls, these portraits shed light on the complex motivations behind voting.
