Faced with a head of state with an illiberal profile, we need to examine the strength of the safeguards, mainly judicial. The use of the right of veto - the main constitutional prerogative available to the President - is examined. The weight of judicial institutions must be put into perspective because of the legal dualism that has persisted since the period of the PiS (Law and Justice) governments.
