{"id":33359,"date":"2023-06-02T14:35:22","date_gmt":"2023-06-02T12:35:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mesopolhis.fr\/?p=33359"},"modified":"2023-06-02T14:35:24","modified_gmt":"2023-06-02T12:35:24","slug":"matthieu-demory-what-future-for-digital-inclusion-in-france-the-conversation-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mesopolhis.fr\/en\/blog\/2023\/06\/02\/matthieu-demory-what-future-for-digital-inclusion-in-france-the-conversation-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Matthieu Demory, \"What future for digital inclusion in France?\", The Conversation, 2023."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 8 September 2022, the President of the French Republic launched a wide-ranging consultation process aimed at finding collective solutions to contemporary public problems.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/conseil-refondation.fr\/\">National Refoundation Council<\/a>&nbsp;(CNR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shortly afterwards, in November 2022, the Minister for the Digital Transition and Telecommunications, Jean-No\u00ebl Barrot, announced the launch of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/conseil-refondation.fr\/thematiques\/numerique\/\">\"CNR Num\u00e9rique<\/a>It is structured around three issues: digital transitions in the workplace (development of artificial intelligence, digitisation of practices, etc.), calming the digital space (combating online violence in particular) and the digital inclusion of citizens who are far from using these tools. This third strand, called&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cnr-numerique.anct.gouv.fr\/\">\"France Num\u00e9rique Ensemble<\/a>supported by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/agence-cohesion-territoires.gouv.fr\/\">Agence Nationale de la Coh\u00e9sion des Territoires (National Agency for Territorial Cohesion)<\/a>&nbsp;(ANCT) and the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lamednum.coop\/notre-cooperative\/\">Mednum<\/a>&nbsp;(a cooperative society supporting digital mediation structures), is part of a history of government action spanning more than 20 years, setting digital inclusion as an objective to be achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This raises two questions: the legacy of public policies from the beginning of the century and the players working to achieve this ambition, and the future of digital inclusion in France, from the point of view of the digital divide.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lamednum.coop\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Concertation_nationale_CNR_Numerique.pdf\">report<\/a>\u00a0presented by the Minister Delegate on 21 April 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/quel-avenir-pour-linclusion-numerique-en-france-205323\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read the article<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 8 September 2022, the President of the French Republic launched the Conseil National de la Refondation (CNR), a major consultation process aimed at finding collective solutions to contemporary public problems.
