Buoyed by a context in which Alzheimer's disease was a growing concern, and encouraged by dedicated funding, a wealth of work emerged. This book gives an account of this 'Alzheimer moment' in sociology, the original ways in which it looked at Alzheimer's disease and the knowledge it produced. It is divided into three main sections. The first, \"Public policies and grassroots initiatives\", examines the measures that have been put in place. The second, \"From diagnosis to the last stages of life. Moments and processes of Alzheimer's disease\" retraces the social experiences of the disease of the various players involved (professionals, patients, relatives).
