Change in the Mediterranean<\/mark><\/em><\/a> <\/a>(MeM) is a multidisciplinary scientific journal focusing on the transformations taking place in the Mediterranean area. Managed by doctoral students and hosted by the MESOPOLHIS laboratory, it offers young researchers a place to publish and a unique opportunity to learn about academic publishing in practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To create its fourth issue, the journal is calling on doctoral students to join its editorial board.<\/strong>. Participation in this journal is open to doctoral students from Aix-Marseille University's doctoral schools 67, 354 and 355.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of this course is to provide an introduction to publishing an open-access digital scientific journal by exploring all the stages in the editorial chain: from drafting the call for papers to peer review. The group workshops will be led by the editorial team (Ad\u00e9lie Chev\u00e9e<\/mark><\/a>Ana Rubio and Emma Giraud-Legrand, doctoral students).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This course requires a serious and regular commitment, both in terms of taking part in face-to-face editorial committee meetings (compulsory) and in monitoring articles as they are written.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An information meeting will be held on Tuesday 16 September 2025, from 11am to 12pm, in room 201 (2nd floor), Le Cube (Campus Schuman), 29 Av. Robert Schuman, 13100 Aix-en-Provence.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This meeting, which will be held exceptionally in hybrid format<\/strong>will also be accessible via Zoom<\/strong> (link to be found in the \"Online event details\" section further down this page).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It offers young researchers a place to publish, and a unique opportunity to learn about scientific publishing through practice, in an open science context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Change in the Mediterranean <\/em>is an open-access digital journal, initially supported by the SoMuM Institute and then by MESOPOLHIS from its third issue onwards. Its editorial board, made up of doctoral students from various disciplines in the humanities and social sciences, offers young researchers a publication space and a unique opportunity to learn about scientific publishing through practice, in a spirit of open science.<\/p>\n\n\n
