Ethnographic and cinematographic perspectives\"."},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Friday 23 May 2025 | 10am-4.30pm | MMSH (amphitheatre)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La <strong>sixth session of the MESOPOLHIS MEETINGS<\/strong> will focus on the following theme <strong>\"Saillans: reinventing the democratic experience. Ethnographic and cinematographic perspectives\".<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Opening up a municipality to forms of democratic participation is a challenge not only for citizens and their elected representatives, but also for social science researchers and film-makers. The example of Saillans town hall (Dr\u00f4me) between 2014 and 2020 is a good opportunity to reflect on this, by crossing viewpoints and forms of writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are delighted to welcome the director <strong>Dorine Brun<\/strong> and sociologist <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pro.univ-lille.fr\/severin-muller\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:#f2f2f2\" class=\"has-inline-color has-fl-accent-color\">S\u00e9verin Muller<\/mark><\/a><\/strong> (University of Lille - Clers\u00e9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>\ud83d\udcda<\/strong><\/strong> <strong>S\u00e9verin Muller<\/strong>a sociologist at the University of Lille and the Clers\u00e9 laboratory, has accompanied the adventure of the collegiate municipality by carrying out participant observation to understand this practical experiment in democratisation. He will shortly be publishing <strong><em>Inventing desirable lives.
