He is a member of the Centre Europ\u00e9en de Sociologie et de Science Politique (EHESS - Universit\u00e9 Paris 1 Sorbonne). His research focuses on the formation of a European centre of power, the emergence of bodies of legal and economic knowledge about the European project and the consolidation of a \u00abpower of independence\u00bb around the European courts of justice, central banks and regulatory agencies. More recently, he has been working on the European and liberal transformation of states and the blurring of the boundaries between public and private. His publications include\u00a0<em>Researching the European Court of Justice. Investigation into a major scramble<\/em>, Paris, Les Presses de Sciences Po, \u00abDomaine gouvernance\u00bb collection, 2017, 196 p<br>In this seminar, we will look back at Antoine Vauchez's scientific career, focusing in particular on the political sociology of government through regulation that he is developing through the study of new forms of public-private government that are being invented in the regulatory agency state (the Competition Authority, the CNIL, the High Authority on Transparency in Public Life, etc.). This work highlights the existence of interstitial spaces of government that help to \u00abblur\u00bb the boundaries between public and private.
