Rendez-vous LYSiERES², round-table discussion: "Innovative mediation formats: for everyone" (by Sylvia Girel)

"Comic books, speed-searching, on-board conferences... Scientific and cultural mediation formats are multiplying and diversifying in line with the Science and Society policies of universities and research bodies and the desire of scientific and technical centres to attract new audiences. This round-table discussion will provide an opportunity to take a critical look at the activities carried out in scientific research and outreach centres: how are these formats new? What are the human, financial and environmental costs of these innovative forms of outreach? What are their advantages and disadvantages? How can their impact on the public and on scientists be assessed? How can researchers be involved in the dialogue between science and society?

Three speakers will share their experience in the field of scientific and cultural mediation and audience research:
